Olho Vivo Parking is Areatec's complete digital on-street parking platform, also known as Digital Blue Zone. The system integrates the driver app (Digipare), vehicle-mounted OCR cameras for enforcement, parking meters from any manufacturer, self-service kiosks, and points of sale into a unified public parking space management operation.

Before Olho Vivo Parking

For decades, the Brazilian Blue Zone lived in the dark. Inspectors walked the streets with clipboards and pens, writing down license plates on paper pads that were lost in the rain or over time. Parking meters existed, but they were just ticket-issuing machines: they did not generate data, did not communicate with any system, and did not send anything anywhere. They were mute metal boxes planted on the sidewalk.

Nothing connected to anything. The driver paid in one place, the inspection verified in another, the city hall received reports weeks later. Fines were contested due to lack of proof. Revenue evaporated through the cracks of a system that, in reality, was no system at all. It was a jumble of manual processes operating blindly, city after city, decade after decade.

The Driver's App

Digipare is the official app that lets drivers activate, pay for and manage their rotary parking spot directly from their smartphone. There is no longer any need to look for meters or physical points of sale. The app sends alerts before time runs out, allowing the spot to be renewed remotely without returning to the vehicle.

The platform processes millions of transactions every month with proven stability across dozens of Brazilian cities. Drivers register once, top up their balance once and use the same balance in any city on the Digipare network. It accepts payments by credit card, debit card, PIX and Zycard.

Native Field App

Street operations demand resilient software. The Android app is built in native code with communication protocols optimized for areas with poor cellular coverage. Officers use the app both to enforce license plates and to sell parking time directly, accepting cash, credit, debit and PIX.

The app incorporates a proprietary GPS calibration solution that maximizes latitude and longitude accuracy, reducing the mobile device's error to centimeters. The Provloc protocol secures the legal chain of custody of every recorded coordinate, giving citations indisputable legal validity.

OCR Vehicles

Automated Enforcement on the Move

Vehicles equipped with high-resolution cameras and an onboard AI edge processor drive along monitored streets capturing plates automatically. The Aretron engine processes the images in real time, cross-checking each plate against the rotary parking activation database. Vehicles without an active session or with expired time are identified instantly.

The system generates the complete notification with photo, timestamp, authenticated geolocation and material evidence to issue the citation. The driver simply follows the programmed route. All processing, capture and data transmission happen autonomously, with no human interaction. The proprietary DATARACE protocol ensures transmission integrity even in cellular dead zones.

The Operations Control Center (OCC) is the intelligence hub of the operation. The web platform centralizes all field equipment information in interactive dashboards. Operators track vehicle positions, meter status, detected violations and financial indicators in real time.

The system collects data such as GPS location, operating status, battery level, connectivity and transaction volume for each field asset.
