Áreazul Digital with OCR enforcement and conversion of physical tickets into digital credit.
What was deployed
Montes Claros replaced paper ticket books with a complete digital metered-parking ecosystem. MCTrans manages and enforces the system, while Areatec supplies the integrated technology platform contracted through a public tender, including automatic license-plate reading, electronic ticketing for officers and non-exclusive integration with accredited apps.
The transition also took care of those who still held old credit: physical Áreazul tickets could be converted into digital credit, within a deadline announced by the city government. The result is auditable management, with each violation recorded with photo and timestamp, and greater transparency for citizens and for the municipality.
