Northern Minas Gerais
Montes Claros · MG
Áreazul Digital with OCR enforcement and conversion of physical tickets into digital credit.
What was deployed
Montes Claros replaced the paper ticket book with a complete digital metered parking ecosystem. Areatec took over the operation after winning the public tender and brought to the city automatic license-plate reading enforcement, the electronic ticket book for officers and payment via the Digipare app.
The transition also took care of those who still held old credit: physical Áreazul tickets could be converted into digital credit, within a deadline announced by the city government. The result is auditable management, with each violation recorded with photo and timestamp, and greater transparency for citizens and for the municipality.
