AreaChain

Your operation's digital notary.

The moment a piece of evidence is captured, it gets a cryptographic fingerprint. From then on, no one can alter it. Any attempt to change it breaks the chain and shows up immediately.

AreaChain works like a notary's office: it records, seals and lets any party verify, at any time. It's the digital vault for every piece of operational data.

What is AreaChain

AreaChain is the immutable registry system developed entirely by Areatec to solve a central problem of modern enforcement: how to ensure that digital evidence remains exactly as it was captured, without any possibility of tampering between the moment of registration and its presentation in court or audit.

Think of AreaChain as the DNA of each piece of evidence. Just as a fingerprint uniquely and undeniably identifies a person, the cryptographic fingerprint generated by AreaChain exclusively identifies each record. Any modification, no matter how small, generates a completely different hash, making fraud mathematically detectable.

AreaChain is a private and controlled network. This means total control over the infrastructure, predictable performance, full regulatory compliance, and independence from third parties. Areatec does not depend on external infrastructure or third-party governance decisions to ensure the integrity of its clients' data.

From Capture to Legal Proof

Five steps transform raw data into digital evidence with full legal validity. The entire process is automatic and happens in milliseconds.

01

Capture

The field device (Olho Vivo Patrol, sensor, camera) records the evidence: photo, OCR license plate, geolocation, timestamp. At the same instant, Aretron AI validates the consistency of the captured data.

02

Cryptographic signature hash

The system calculates the cryptographic signature fingerprint of the captured dataset. This hash acts as the unique fingerprint of that evidence. Any future alteration, even of a single bit, would generate a completely different hash.

03

Block

The hash is encapsulated in a block along with metadata: certified timestamp (ICP-Brasil), author identification, reference to the previous block, and digital signature. This block is cryptographically sealed.

04

Chain

The block is added to the existing chain. Each block references the hash of the previous block, creating an unbreakable chain. Altering any intermediate block would invalidate all subsequent blocks, making fraud immediately visible.

05

Legal Proof

The evidence is protected with a complete digital chain of custody, according to art. 158-A to 158-F of the CPP. Any party can verify its integrity at any time, without relying on Areatec or any intermediary.

Four Guarantees for the Manager

Every piece of evidence generated in your operation is protected by four layers of guarantee that work independently and complementarily.

Immutability

Once the block is sealed in AreaChain, the data cannot be altered, deleted, or overwritten. The record becomes permanent and mathematically protected against any type of tampering.

Like a security seal: once closed, any tampering is visible.

Traceability

Every action recorded in AreaChain carries complete identification: who executed it, when (ICP-Brasil certified timestamp), where (authenticated Provloc coordinates), and what was done. The complete history of each piece of evidence is transparently accessible.

Like a ledger that records every movement with time, author, and location.

Auditability

Any interested party can verify the integrity of any record at any time, without relying on Areatec. Verification is done by independent recalculation of the hash, a mathematical process that does not require trust in any central authority.

Like a DNA test: the result is objective and verifiable by any laboratory.

Legal Validity

AreaChain's digital chain of custody fully complies with articles 158-A to 158-F of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Law 13.964/2019). Evidence protected by AreaChain is admissible in court and withstands technical challenges regarding integrity.

Like a notarized document, but with instant and remote verification.

Why Private Registry?

The decision to develop a private and controlled registry system was not arbitrary. For enforcement operations with sensitive data and strict legal requirements, the private network offers decisive advantages over public solutions.

Technological independence is a fundamental principle of Areatec. AreaChain ensures that the integrity of our clients' data does not depend on third-party governance decisions, cryptocurrency market fluctuations, or the availability of external networks.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance

AreaChain was designed from inception to meet Brazilian legal requirements and international standards for handling digital evidence.

CPP Art. 158-A to 158-F

Digital Chain of Custody

Law 13.964/2019 (Anti-Crime Package) established strict requirements for the preservation of digital traces. AreaChain natively implements every step provided for in the law: recognition, isolation, fixation, collection, packaging, transport, receipt, processing, storage, and controlled disposal.

ISO 27037

Digital Evidence Handling

The international standard ISO/IEC 27037 defines guidelines for the identification, collection, acquisition, and preservation of digital evidence. AreaChain fully follows these guidelines, ensuring that each piece of evidence maintains its forensic admissibility regardless of jurisdiction.

ICP-Brasil and ACT

Certification and Time Stamping

Each AreaChain block receives a timestamp issued by a Time Certification Authority (ACT) accredited by ICP-Brasil. This ensures that the timestamp of each record has public faith and is legally binding, with millisecond precision and traceability to UTC.

Native Integration with Areatec Ecosystem

AreaChain is not an isolated module. It is the integrity layer that permeates all Areatec products, protecting every piece of data generated in the operation automatically and transparently.

Aretron

Areatec's artificial intelligence engine automatically validates each piece of evidence before registration in AreaChain. Photos with obstruction, illegible license plates, or data inconsistencies are rejected before entering the chain, ensuring that only valid evidence receives immutable registry protection.

Provloc

Provloc's authenticated geolocation is recorded as part of the block in AreaChain. Each piece of evidence carries cryptographically certified coordinates, eliminating disputes over the capture location. The authenticated position is an inseparable part of the chain of custody.

Olho Vivo

Every OCR capture, every infraction photo, and every parking record generated by Olho Vivo Patrol and Olho Vivo Parking is automatically protected by AreaChain. The field agent does not need to take any additional action to ensure the chain of custody.
