What is SyncRealTime
SyncRealTime is the communication brain of the Areatec ecosystem. It is a communication platform running on the central server (cloud or on-premise) that simultaneously manages millions of connections from heterogeneous devices. It is not a physical device, a sensor, or an IoT protocol. It is the intelligent software layer that orchestrates all message exchange between field equipment and the central platform.
Every Digipare smartphone, every enforcement agent PDA, every pavement sensor, every parking meter, every Aretron vehicle, and every fixed camera connects to SyncRealTime to send and receive data in real time. The middleware authenticates each device individually, routes messages to the correct destination, prioritizes critical packets, and ensures delivery with complete traceability.
Without SyncRealTime, field devices cannot communicate with the platform. It is the central hub connecting the entire Areatec ecosystem, functioning as the nervous system that transports information between all points of the operation.

Mutual Authentication (Mutual TLS)
Each device authenticates with its own digital certificate. The server validates the device and the device validates the server, eliminating spoofing.
Zero-Trust Architecture
No connection is trusted by default. Every request is authenticated, authorized and validated independently, even within the internal network.
Complete Audit Trail
Every processed message generates an immutable record with timestamp, origin, destination, content hash, and delivery result for full traceability.

Automatic high scalability allows new SyncRealTime instances to be provisioned on demand during peak usage, such as rush hours in large cities, without service interruption and without manual intervention. Load balancing intelligently distributes connections among available nodes, maintaining sub-second latency even under extreme load.
How it works
The lifecycle of each message in SyncRealTime follows four steps that guarantee authenticity, integrity, and confirmed delivery.
Authenticated connection
The device establishes a connection by presenting its mutual authentication certificate. SyncRealTime validates the cryptographic identity before accepting any data.
Validation and routing
SyncRealTime authenticates the message, validates its integrity via hash, and determines the correct destination based on configured routing rules.
Priority processing
Messages are processed in real time with intelligent prioritization. Critical alerts move ahead of informational data in the processing queue.
Confirmed delivery
The recipient confirms receipt. SyncRealTime records the delivery with a timestamp and hash in the audit trail for complete traceability.
Platform integration
SyncRealTime is the communication layer that interconnects all of Areatec's proprietary technologies, ensuring data flows in real time between every component of the ecosystem.
DataRace
Underlying transport layerDataRace provides the adaptive transport protocol (hybrid multichannel) over which SyncRealTime operates. While DataRace handles the physical delivery of packets, SyncRealTime manages the orchestration logic, authentication, and intelligent routing.
Aretron AI
Overlying processing layerAretron AI consumes the data orchestrated by SyncRealTime to apply artificial intelligence. Pattern detection, demand predictions, and automated decisions depend on the continuous and reliable flow of data that SyncRealTime guarantees.
AreaChain
Immutable storageEvery critical message processed by SyncRealTime can be recorded in AreaChain to ensure immutability and legal validity. Infractions, evidence, and financial transactions gain an integrity seal via immutable record.
