Santo André: 96 PDAs for Electronic Traffic Ticketing

The Electronic Traffic Ticketing operation with Sindata has served every municipal traffic officer in Santo André since 1999. Today, 96 active PDAs sustain that field work. The product has crossed different generations of devices, connectivity and integration rules without interrupting operational continuity.

In the field, the application organizes identity and shift, vehicle data, classification, notes and the evidence required by procedure. The officer reviews the traffic violation notice before confirmation. The record then goes to the processing environment, with synchronization controls and outage handling according to the project configuration.

A fleet of 96 active devices also requires disciplined deployment. Profiles, parameters, application versions, connectivity and synchronization status need to remain consistent across the PDAs. The management environment provides visibility into queues, integration responses and situations requiring action by authorized staff.

The municipal services portal identifies Sindata as the company that manages traffic fines in Santo André. Our role focuses on the technology used by officers and on integrating the digital record with that ecosystem. The system guides and documents the workflow; observation of the event, classification and the decision remain with the competent officer and authority.
