Questions about facial anonymization and automatic face blurring

What is facial anonymization in video?

It is a set of measures used to reduce or prevent association between a facial image and a person. Automatic blurring can be part of that process, but the outcome must be evaluated in context and against reasonable reidentification possibilities.

Is Blur Inteligente facial recognition?

No. This technology locates the face region to apply visual protection. It does not need to determine who the person is to perform that function.

Does the product guarantee LGPD or GDPR compliance?

No single tool guarantees compliance. Blur Inteligente supports principles such as necessity, security and prevention, while the controller must define purpose, legal basis, access, retention, disposal and other applicable controls.

Is the blur irreversible?

This page makes no such promise. Resistance to reversal depends on the technique, intensity, image quality, associated data and the reasonable means available at the time of assessment.

Can a vehicle plate remain visible?

Yes, when the plate is necessary for the authorized purpose and the project has an appropriate legal basis, security and access control. Policy can protect faces without filtering the entire scene.

Can processing occur close to the camera?

Yes, depending on project architecture and equipment. Processing near capture can reduce circulation of identifiable imagery, but it does not remove governance requirements from later stages.

Does it work in night or complex scenes?

Performance depends on lighting, angle, occlusion, resolution and motion. These conditions belong in project acceptance tests. Ambiguous images should be routed for review.

How do we assess whether protection is sufficient?

Define the risk to reduce, test representative scenes, evaluate reasonable reidentification attempts and document acceptance criteria. Reassess when technology, use or associated sources change.
