Bikeep is the global smart infrastructure platform for bicycle and electric scooter parking, developed in Estonia and operated by Areatec in Brazil and Latin America. Unlike conventional bike racks that offer only a metal bar, Bikeep delivers a complete ecosystem: stations with automated frame and wheel locking, 4G IoT connectivity, a cyclist app, a cloud management console, and an open API for integration with urban mobility platforms.
The technology solves the main obstacle to adopting bicycles as a means of urban transport: insecurity at the destination. Scan the QR Code
Find an available station on the app map, scan the QR code on the dock, and the lock opens automatically. Alternative: RFID or NFC card.
Park Securely
Position the bicycle and confirm in the app. The steel bar locks the frame while a second pin secures the wheel. The entire process takes less than 15 seconds.
Manage from Anywhere
Operators access the cloud console to monitor real-time occupancy, manage access, receive maintenance alerts, and export usage reports.
4-Layer Security
Bikeep's security system is designed for high-risk urban environments. The first layer is the patented two-point physical locking: a heavy steel bar secures the bicycle frame while a second mechanism fixes the wheel, resisting the most common theft tools.
The second layer is the anti-tamper alarm with an integrated speaker, which triggers immediately upon detecting tampering attempts. The third layer is integration with security cameras (compatible with Axis and Hikvision), which automatically records locking and unlocking events.
The fourth layer is 24/7 cloud monitoring. The operator console receives real-time alerts of any anomaly, allowing for an immediate response. This combination of physical and digital security is what allows Bikeep to guarantee a theft reduction of up to 99.9% in monitored installations.

Secure E-Bike Charging
The accelerated growth of electric bicycles has brought a new challenge for urban managers: safety in charging lithium batteries. In New York alone, 268 fires caused by e-bike batteries were recorded in 2024. Regulations are becoming stricter worldwide, and the demand for managed charging infrastructure is growing proportionally.
The Bikeep charging station solves this problem with a practical approach: cyclists bring their own charger (compatible with any brand), connect it to the dock outlet, and both the bicycle and the charger are locked and protected during the process. The Fire Safety Relay system with automatic shutdown in 4 hours prevents overcharging and drastically reduces the risk of fire.
Each dock has individual circuit protection, and the centralized electrical cabinet manages power distribution for the entire station. The operator monitors consumption, charging duration, and the status of the safety relay remotely via the console.
